Sammy dreams of being a singer in a group. When a local band is set up, she’ll do anything to get in to it. But how should she act? What should she wear? Suffering a real identity crisis, she goes through a series of disastrous but hilarious transformations in an attempt to impress them. Through cultural references and humour, we look at some of teenagers’ concerns– issues of self-esteem, peer pressure and worries about physical appearance. As with all our plays, the show is interactive and we continually refer to the audience through out the show, making them an integral part of the performance. Vocabulary and grammar includes comparatives and superlatives, the possessive and giving advice and obligations.
We provide a work pack with a summary of the story and vocabulary used, plus listening exercises.
